Is it dusty to do an epoxy floor?
The epoxy flooring process itself is not dusty, but the preparation stage can produce some dust. Before applying epoxy, the concrete surface must be properly ground or shot-blasted to ensure strong adhesion. This surface preparation can create dust if not managed correctly.

Once preparation is complete, the epoxy installation process is virtually dust-free, resulting in a smooth, clean, and durable finish.
Are Epoxy Floors Slippery?
Epoxy floors are generally not slippery when dry. In fact, they create a smooth, seamless surface that offers excellent traction under normal conditions. However, like most hard surfaces, they can become slick when wet, oily, or contaminated.

It’s very popular in garages, basements, showrooms, and commercial spaces because it’s both durable and decorative.

A Quartz epoxy floor is a seamless resin-based flooring system that uses colored quartz sand (granules) instead of vinyl flakes. These quartz granules are broadcast into the epoxy (or polyaspartic/polyurea) base coat, then sealed with clear resin. The result is a very hard, textured, and decorative surface that’s also extremely slip-resistant.
It’s considered one of the most durable and sanitary epoxy flooring systems available.

- Surface Prep – Concrete is diamond-ground or shot-blasted.
